In alignment with this mission, we actively seek to understand the dreams, interests, and hobbies of our program participants and intentionally connect them to real-world careers and employment opportunities. By aligning individual passions with practical pathways, we help students see how their interests can translate into viable, rewarding professions within the skilled trades and beyond.

Educate

We emphasize that trade skills can significantly enhance and complement a college education for those who choose that path. By equipping students with practical skills and real-world knowledge, Building My Future helps them build confidence, expand opportunities, and take ownership of their future.

Develop

We provide foundational instruction in electricity, plumbing, and proper hand-tool usage, with the belief that early exposure to these skills empowers students as they approach the critical question of “what’s next” during their senior year and beyond. Our goal is to broaden their perspective on career pathways and to reinforce that choosing not to attend college is not the end of the road.
